A Personal Clock Story: An essay by our founder

Over the next months, we will be sharing an essay that delves deep into the story of one Mennonite Clock. Like many clocks, the Schulz clock, bore witness to generations of family history, tracing the joys and hardships of one family.

This story is of special significance to the Kroeger Clocks Heritage Foundation. Liza Kroeger, founder of the Kroeger Clocks Heritage Foundation, wrote this essay in the year before she died. In the essay, she weaves together her research on Kroeger clock-making and the history of the tumultuous times her ancestors experienced, as well as personal reflection on her experience as the child of refugees.
